The most sustainable gadget is the one you don't replace. Every decision we make starts with that. Below: where we've made progress, and where we're still working.
Designed to be kept
We engineer for a five-year minimum life of use. Batteries and screens are replaceable, screws are standard, no proprietary tools required.
Recyclable packaging
All product packaging is paper-based and curbside-recyclable. No plastic shells, no foam inserts, no glossy laminates. Inks are soy-based.
Take-back program
When a product reaches end of life, send it back. We strip it for parts, recover materials, and refund a percentage of your original purchase.
Out-of-warranty repair
Repairs are offered at cost, not at upsell pricing. We'd rather fix your product than sell you a new one — the planet stays better off.
Carbon-aware shipping
Ships from regional warehouses in LA and NJ to minimize freight miles. We offset the carbon on every order through verified Gold Standard projects.
Transparent footprint
We publish our annual environmental impact report — materials, freight, packaging waste, and where we're still falling short.
Where we're falling short
Our products still contain lithium-ion batteries with mining externalities we can't fully offset. Our shipping carbon offsets are a Band-Aid, not a fix. We're working on both — and we'll publish progress, with numbers, every year.
